Goose Population Control/Egg Roundup 1 – Community Help Welcome

Our first authorized Canada Goose egg round up will start after the April LDCA board meeting on April 15th (~noon). LDCA trained board members have been issued a permit to perform this wildlife management activity.  The activity is to further the health and water quality of Lake Diane and the Clear Fork waterway and avoid E.coli and bacteria growth that would shut down water activities in the later Summer months. Volunteer Goose Egg Roundup – Control Day 1

Volunteers Needed If you would like to tour around our over 300 acre waterways and shorelines to identify nests to prevent an overabundance of geese in our summertime, please contact the LDCA board so that we can coordinate with you to properly manage our goose nests. 2nd and 4th Saturday in April Contact your LDCA trustee or contact-us here.

Weed Spray and LDCA Dues payments due May 20

MAY 20th Please have your membership dues or your payment for Weed Spray into LDCA Treasurer so that your area will be sprayed before May 20th.  Please see your annual mailing for details or the LDCA Membership information. Solitude lake management group is scheduled to visit Lake Diane on June 03 to perform weed management treatment. Timing a day is subject to weather. Us Coast Guard Auxiliary Vessel Safety Checks

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary will be conducting complementary Vessel Safety Checks at the docks of Lake Diane Plaza on Saturday, June 29th, from 10 AM to 2 PM. Vessel Safety Checks (VSCs) are conducted as a public service by the Coast Guard Auxiliary. They help boat owners by examining the safety equipment required for recreational boats and familiarizing boat owners with changes to equipment requirements and safety concerns.
